The provisions of this Part 1 may be amended by ordinance of
the Board of Selectmen.
All prior ordinances and other enactments, or parts of such,
of this Town regulating traffic and parking are hereby repealed, except
that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment
of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any such
ordinance or other enactment prior to the taking effect of this Part
1.
If any article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision of this Part 1 shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such adjudication shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
An offense against any provision in this Part 1 that constitutes
a violation within the meaning of the New Hampshire Criminal Code,
RSA 651:2, III and IV, shall be punishable by such penalties as the
court may direct pursuant to its authority and jurisdiction over this
matter. Unless otherwise indicated, any person who violates any other
provision of this Part 1 shall be fined not more than $1,000.
