The Highway Department, administered by the Public Works Director, under the supervision of the Highway Foreman, appointed as specified in § 200-7 of the Administrative Code shall consist of the following functions: highways and bridges.
The Highway Foreman shall be responsible for the following functions:
A.
Construction, maintenance, and repair of all roads, streets, drains,
bridges, sidewalks and other public ways.
B.
Removal of snow and distribution of salt and sand on all highways,
streets, bridges, sidewalks and other public ways.
C.
Purchase, installation and maintenance of all Town-owned street signs.
D.
Plant, maintain, and remove trees and brush on or affecting Town
property or along Town rights-of-way, either by Town forces or contractual
services.
E.
Maintenance and care of all equipment and property assigned to the
Highway Department.
F.
Prepare and maintain all necessary records pertaining to the Highway
Department.
G.
Perform all other related functions as required.
