The Tax Assessor shall receive an annual salary, which salary
shall be fixed in the Salary Ordinance of the City of Gloucester City, and shall be in lieu of any and all fees or commissions.
The Accounts and Finance Committee of the Common Council shall

the said Tax Assessor being first presented with a copy of the charges,
which shall be in writing and being given a fair and impartial hearing
by the Common Council.
