The Municipal Court for the City of Gloucester City, established
as of January 1, 1949, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 264 of
the Laws of New Jersey of 1948, is continued.
The name of the Municipal Court shall be the "Municipal Court
of Gloucester City."
The Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall bear the
impress of the name of the Court.
There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be
appointed by the Mayor of Gloucester City with the advice and consent
of the Common Council of Gloucester City, and who shall serve for
a term of three years from the time of his appointment and until his
successor is appointed and qualified.
The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary
to be determined by the Common Council of Gloucester City at the time
of his confirmation by the Common Council of Gloucester City, which
shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of other municipal
officers are paid, and which shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and
any other allowances whatsoever.
The Municipal Court and the Judge thereof shall have, possess
and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred
by the provisions of Chapter 264 of the Laws of New Jersey of 1948,
as amended and supplemented, or by any other law.

The Administrator of the Municipal Court, heretofore appointed
by the Common Council of Gloucester City, shall serve for a term of
three years from the time of his appointment and until his successor
is appointed and qualified. The Administrator of the Municipal Court
shall receive an annual salary to be determined by the Common Council,
which shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of other municipal
officers are paid and which shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and
any other allowances whatsoever. He shall perform such functions and
duties as shall be prescribed for him by the law, the court rules
applicable to municipal courts and the Judge of the Municipal Court.

The Deputy Administrator of the Municipal Court, heretofore
appointed by the Common Council of Gloucester City, shall serve for
a term of three years from the time of his appointment and until his
successor is appointed and qualified. The Deputy Administrator of
the Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary to be determined
by the Common Council, which shall be paid in the same manner as the
salaries of other municipal officers are paid and which shall be in
lieu of all fees, costs and any other allowances whatsoever. He shall
perform such functions and duties as shall be prescribed for him by
the law, the court rules applicable to municipal courts and the Judge
of the Municipal Court.
The Municipal Court shall be held in the City Hall of Gloucester
City. The Judge shall sit from 10:00 a.m. until the calendar is completed
and at such other times as the business of the Court may require,
subject to the rules applicable to municipal courts.
