A. 
No more than one commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of less than 10,000 pounds may be parked, stored or garaged at any dwelling unit or on any public street within the residential zones of the city.
B. 
The parking, storing and garaging of any commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or more is prohibited within the residential zones of the city.
C. 
The parking, storing or garaging of any commercial-type equipment, including but not limited to trailers, chippers, mixers, backhoes and bulldozers, is prohibited within the residential zones of the city.

A. 
Recreation vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to boats, trailers and campers, may be parked, stored or garaged within the residential zones as long as they are parked, stored or garaged within a garage or other outbuilding so as not to be visible.
B. 
One recreation vehicle may be stored at each single-family dwelling at an outside location within the residential zones, provided that the recreation vehicle is stored in a driveway on the premises of the single-family dwelling. Any recreation vehicle stored at an outside location must be registered with the State of New Jersey.
Nothing herein, however, shall prohibit the temporary parking of a commercial vehicle for the purpose of making pickup or deliveries in the regular course of business.
For the purpose of this ordinance, the following definitions apply:
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
Any motor vehicle used for commercial purposes, in interstate or intrastate commerce, for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation or profit. The display of commercial, omnibus or constructor registration plates on any motor vehicle shall, for the purposes of this ordinance, be prima facie evidence that the vehicle is a "commercial vehicle."
GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT
The combined weight of the vehicle and the rated payload. For the purposes of this ordinance, the gross weight as stated on the vehicle's registration certificate shall be prima facie evidence of the vehicle's "gross vehicle weight."
RESIDENTIAL ZONES
All areas of the City of Gloucester designated on the Zone Map of the City of Gloucester as residential districts.
Every person convicted of violation of a provision of this ordinance or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both. Each twenty-four-hour period shall constitute a separate violation.
This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to law.
Any person who owns or purchases an inoperable motor vehicle and has the intention of restoring said vehicle to a safe, operable condition and due to nature of restoration work, may be granted an extension to the thirty-day limit if said person can show proof to the authorities, by way of parts purchases or work orders, that work is continuing toward the restoration of said vehicle to a safe, operable condition.
