As used in this article, the following terms shall
have the meanings indicated:
BULKY WASTES
Large discarded items from residences that can be reduced
in volume for bundling, including but not limited to boxes, crates,
barrels and certain items of furniture.
BULKY WASTES (WHITE GOODS)
Large discarded items that cannot readily be reduced in volume,
including but not limited to stoves, refrigerators, bed springs, certain
appliances and items of furniture.
CHIEF OF POLICE
The Chief of Police of the Borough of Monaca or his authorized
agent and/or his authorized agent or representative.
COMBUSTIBLE HOUSEHOLD RUBBISH
Burnable waste from residences, including but not limited
to paper, rags, cartons, boxes, wood, excelsior, furniture, bedding,
rubber, leather and yard rubbish.
DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION WASTE
Waste material resulting from the construction, remodeling,
repair and/or demolition of building or structures, including but
not limited to excavated earth, stones, block, brick, plaster, wall
and floor coverings, lumber, roofing material, concrete and waste
parts resulting from the installation of plumbing and electrical systems.
GARBAGE
Waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and
serving of food.
INDUSTRIAL WASTE
Solid waste resulting from industrial processes and manufacturing
operations.
MECHANICAL WASTE
Discarded items, including but not limited to engines, machines,
mechanical and electrical equipment, tools, discarded vehicles and
vehicle parts and similar material.
NONCOMBUSTIBLE HOUSEHOLD RUBBISH
Nonburnable wastes from residences, including but not limited
to tin cans, metals, mineral matter, glass, crockery, dust and metal
furniture.
PERSON
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
REFUSE
Solid waste, including garbage, combustible and noncombustible
household rubbish, incinerator waste, bulky wastes, bulky wastes (white
goods), industrial waste and mechanical waste, demolition and construction
wastes.
WASTE
Useless, unused, unwanted or discarded material resulting
from normal activities in the Borough.
