It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a motor vehicle at any time contrary to any of the following provisions of this article unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
A. 
Parking is prohibited in the following places:
(1) 
On a public sidewalk.
(2) 
On a public crosswalk.
(3) 
Within an intersection.
(4) 
In front of a public or private driveway.
(5) 
Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or sprinkler supply head.
(6) 
Within 30 feet of an intersecting street or road.
(7) 
Within 75 feet of a fire station entrance.
(8) 
Along the side of or opposite any street or excavation or obstruction where such parking will obstruct traffic.
(9) 
Upon any bridge or elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel.
(10) 
At any place where official signs prohibit parking or stopping.
(11) 
Within any designated fire lane.
(12) 
On the road side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of any street.
(13) 
On a roadway when the vehicle, parallel parked, has its right wheels more than 12 inches from the curb or edge of the road.
(14) 
On railroad tracks.
(15) 
On the travel portion of any roadway so as to obstruct the movement of traffic in the travel lane.
(16) 
At a designated bus or taxi stop.
(17) 
On a public way when any wheel of a parked vehicle is beyond the painted lines in the roadway.
(18) 
In any posted area on Town property.
(19) 
Upon any street or highway when the principal purpose is displaying the vehicle or motor vehicle for sale.

(20) 
In zones designated for handicapped parking.
(21) 
In a designated loading or unloading zone.
(22) 
In the Town Office parking lot, weekdays, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., without a valid permit.
(23) 
On a street or highway when the vehicle and/or motor vehicle, parallel parked, has its left wheels within 10 feet of the center of the double yellow lines on roads so marked.

(24) 
On a street or highway when the vehicle and/or motor vehicle has been parked for greater than 24 hours without movement.

B. 
All parking must be head-in.
A. 
Overnight parking.
(1) 
There shall be no overnight (9:00 p.m. to sunrise) parking in the spaces provided in the Town Common (Main Street, Church Street and Epping Street).
(2) 
There shall be no overnight (9:00 p.m. to sunrise) parking in the municipal parking lot on Depot Street without Board of Selectmen approval.
B. 
Parking prohibited or restricted.
(1) 
There shall be no parking on Langford Road, in and around the entrance to the area formerly known as "Onway Municipal Beach" for a distance of 30 feet to either side, as well as within said entrance.
(2) 
Lamprey River Elementary School. Those persons using the Carroll Lake Beach must park in the spaces provided for said purpose and not in any undesignated area.
(3) 
There shall be no parking on Route 107 in and around the A.I.S. Welch Ballfields for a distance of 30 feet to either side.
(4) 
There shall be no parking on the west side of Main Street, from Wight Street to the Masonic Temple entrance.
(5) 
There shall be no parking on Old Manchester Road from Main Street to Wight Street.
(6) 
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on the south side of the Main Street right-of-way from the entrance to the Masonic Hall to Orchard Street.

(7) 
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on the north side of the Main Street right-of-way from Depot Street to the old Saint Raymond Church.

A. 
The following areas will be limited to the amount of time any vehicle may park, stop or stand:
(1) 
Main Street, between the intersections of Wight Street and Orchard Street, will be limited to thirty-minute parking from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and one-and-one-half-hour parking from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., not inclusive of parking spaces on the Town Common.
(2) 
Wight Street across from the Methodist Church shall be limited to ten-minute parking.
The following fines and penalties are hereby enacted, and the Chief of Police is empowered to direct his/her personnel to fully enforce these regulations.
A. 
All parking violations:
(1) 
First offense: $5.
(2) 
Second offense: $10.
(3) 
Third offense: $15.
(4) 
Handicapped parking: $15.
It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a motor vehicle contrary to any of the following provisions of this article unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
Within the Town of Raymond, from November 15 to April 1, no parking is permitted on any public street between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
No parking is permitted in any Town-owned park, common, playground or recreational area between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
No parking is permitted in the Public Safety Complex parking lot unless on official public safety business.
In the event of a predicted or on-going severe winter snowstorm requiring enhanced actions for maintaining snow plowing and/or removal as deemed necessary by the DPW Director, a snow emergency shall be called by the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police shall contact the news media, including local radio station(s), to notify the public that a ban exists and shall specify the start of the snow emergency and shall estimate when the same will be called off. It shall be unlawful for any person having custody and/or control of any vehicle to park or cause the same to be parked within the public right-of-way during a snow emergency. Vehicles interfering with snow plowing and removal operations shall be towed and stored at the owner's expense.
