The Parks and Recreation Department, under the supervision of the Director, appointed as specified in §
200-7 of the Administrative Code, shall consist of such other part-time and seasonal employees as may be recommended by the Director and approved by the Town Manager.
The Parks and Recreation Department shall perform the following
functions:
A. Develop and administer recreation programs and services for the Town
of Raymond.
B. Be responsible for land acquisition in conjunction with the Conservation
Commission and Board of Selectmen, site planning, site development,
maintenance, operation of recreation and park facilities.
C. Supervise all paid employees and volunteers of the Parks and Recreation
Department.
D. Prepare annually a proposed operating budget and updated capital
improvement plan for the department.
E. Serve as an ex officio member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board. Assist this Board in carrying out its duties and responsibilities.
F. Prepare and maintain all records pertaining to the Parks and Recreation
Department.
G. Cooperate with all other appropriate Town departments and public
officials; schools, civic organizations and agencies in the development
and promotion of park and recreation services in the community.
H. Perform all other related functions as required.
