Village of Thornton, IL Article D Special Prosecuting Attorney

§ 1-6D-1 Creation of office, appointment.

There is hereby created the office of Special Prosecuting Attorney. The Special Prosecuting Attorney shall be appointed by the Village President, with the consent of the Board of Trustees.

§ 1-6D-2 Compensation of Special Prosecuting Attorney.

The Special Prosecuting Attorney shall be paid the sum as is set in the annual appropriation ordinances for his services.

§ 1-6D-3 Duties of Special Prosecuting Attorney.

The Special Prosecuting Attorney shall prosecute all ordinance violations and traffic or motor vehicle violations of State Statutes committed in the Village, and appeals thereof, to which the Village may be a party.
