A. 
For any of the following violations, water service may be discontinued:

For the use of water for any other property or purpose than that described on the application.
C. 
For willful waste of water through improper or imperfect pipes, fixtures or otherwise.
D. 
For failure to maintain in good order connections, service lines or fixtures owned by the consumer.
E. 
For refusal of access at reasonable hours to property for purposes of inspecting or for caring or repairing or removing meters.
F. 
For tampering or attempting to molest or tamper with any service pipe, curb stop, seal, water meter or any other appliances of the Department.
G. 
For nonpayment of bills for services rendered or water consumed and fines or penalties imposed or for any other reason causing or tending to cause a loss to the Water Department.
Where a residence is not occupied during the winter months and unheated, by request the water service shall be turned off at the curb stop between October 1 and March 31.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to one or more of the following: a fine not to exceed $1,000, imprisonment in the Ocean County Jail for a term not to exceed 90 days or community service for a period not to exceed 90 days. Each day of continuing violation shall constitute a separate offense.
