Persons who seek to obtain public records from the Borough of
Lawnside must make that request through the Borough Administrator's
Office. If, in the sole discretion of the Borough Administrator, said
record request is substantial, and compliance by the borough with
said request will disrupt the economic and efficient operation of
the office and the transaction of public business, the Borough Administrator
may require that said request be presented in writing by the requesting
person.
Where a person requesting public records desires to inspect
and obtain copies of those records, said inspection visits may be
limited to once per week. The requesting person shall arrange an appointment
with the Borough Administrator, or his designee, no later than five
working days in advance of the inspection session.
Each inspection visit must be conducted between 10:00 a.m. and
12:00 noon on the date established by appointment with the Borough
Administrator.
The documents designated by the requesting person for copying
shall be provided to the requesting party either upon the conclusion
of the inspection, or by the close of business the following day if,
in the sole discretion of the Borough Administrator, the copying of
said documents shall not disrupt the economic and efficient operation
of the office and the transaction of public business.
The requesting party shall make payment for copies pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-2 or its successor statute. The requesting party
shall pay for said copies at the time that the copies are received.
Business drafts must be made payable to the "Borough of Lawnside."
No personal checks will be accepted.
