Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-136, there is hereby created within the Borough of Pine Beach the office of Municipal Administrator.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-136, the Municipal Administrator shall be appointed annually by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the governing body.
The Municipal Administrator shall have that portion of the executive responsibilities of the municipality including the direction and management of personnel; the administration of all insurance held by and for the Borough of Pine Beach; all responsibilities delegated and required of the Affirmative Action Officer of the Borough of Pine Beach and such other duties and responsibilities as may be delegated to the Administrator by the Mayor and Council.

No person shall serve as the Municipal Administrator without having a minimum of two years of higher education, (college or business school), and five years of full-time government employment in a supervisory position.
In the event that the Mayor and Council shall, at any time, be unable to secure a candidate for Municipal Administrator meeting all requirements set forth above upon such terms, including salary and benefits, as may be acceptable to the Mayor and Council, then the Mayor and Council in their discretion, may elect to lessen the requirements so as to select the best available applicant.
