There is hereby established the position of Safety Officer for the Borough of Pine Beach.
The Safety Officer shall be an employee of the Borough of Pine Beach.
A. 
The Safety Officer is responsible for the supervision, collection of data, accident review, and compliance with OSHA inspections for the borough.
B. 
Duties of the Safety Officer include, but shall not be limited, to the following:
(1) 
Conduct quarterly safety meetings with all departments.
(2) 
Job site observations for public works employees.
(3) 
Complete OSHA yearly forms.
(4) 
Conduct accident reviews.
(5) 
Guide all employees in safety training.
(6) 
Conduct monthly inspections of public property, including:
(a) 
Parks.
(b) 
Playgrounds.
(c) 
Beach front.
(d) 
Municipal building.
(e) 
Public Works building.
(f) 
Water treatment facility.
(g) 
Sewer plant.
(7) 
Follow through with Joint Insurance Fund inspections.
(8) 
Advise Mayor and Council of any actions taken.
