A. Water rent periods are defined as follows: January 1 to June 30,
inclusive, and July 1 to December 31, inclusive.
B. Water bills for minimum usage shall be distributed prior to January
1 for the first half year and prior to July 1 for the second half
year.
C. Meters shall be read not less than semiannually in the months of
June and December and not more frequently than monthly, except that
for any reason service is discontinued, the meter shall be read at
the time of discontinuance. Bills for water usage exceeding the minimum
shall be distributed not less frequently than semiannually after the
June and December readings and not more frequently than monthly. In
the case of billings which are more frequent than semiannually, they
may be made based either upon a meter reading or an estimated basis.
Any water rent accounts which are subject to an estimated bill or
bills shall then be adjusted at the time of the next bill which is
based upon an actual meter read.
D. Bills shall become delinquent 10 days after they are due. Unpaid
water bills shall become a lien upon the property involved.
E. In case of a disputed bill involving the accuracy of the meter, such
meter shall be tested upon the request of the customer in conformity
with the provision of the rules and regulations pertaining to water
service utilities of the Public Utility Commission of the State of
New Jersey. Should the meter so tested be found to have an error in
the registration in excess of 3% the bills will be corrected accordingly.
F. The quantity recorded by the meter shall be considered the amount
of water passing through the meter, which amount shall be conclusive
as to both customer and the Borough

Where no service exists, the fee for the various size service
connection from main to curb shall be determined by the Borough Council.
Payment is to be made when the application for water connection is
submitted.

A. Turn on/off (at curb): $50.
B. Emergency shutoff contractor/resident related: $75.
C. Damaged/relocated ERT: $50.
E. Resident requested meter test in place: *$50.
F. Resident requested bench test of meter: *$150.
G. When service has been suspended as a result of delinquency, a fee
of $100 shall be charged to have service restored.
H. A non-access
fee of $50 per month will be added to the account beginning September
1, 2019, until the utility can access the water meter.

*If meter is faulty as defined by AWWA guidelines, no fee will

A. The annual water rates, effective January 1, 2021 shall be as follows:
(1) Basic rate:
(a)
Annual Minimum is $250 payable in two equal installments of
$125 for 20,000 gallons allocated use for January 1 to June 30, and
$125 for 20,000 gallons July 1 to December 31 and overages sent out
for all usage over 20,000 gallons within each six month period.
(b)
All usage over 20,000 gallons but less than 375,000 gallons:
$2.50 per 1,000 gallons, payable January 1 and July 1.
(2) In the case of a user whose semi-annual usage exceeds 375,000 gallons,
the rates shall be as set forth above, except that for all usage in
excess of 375,000 gallons, the rate shall be $3.50 per 1,000 gallons.
B. Bills shall become delinquent 10 days after they are due. Unpaid
water bills shall become a lien upon the property involved.
