A. 
Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a Police Officer or official traffic control device, no person shall:
1. 
Stop, stand or park a vehicle:
a. 
On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street;
b. 
On a sidewalk;
c. 
Within an intersection;
d. 
On a crosswalk;
e. 
Between a safety zone and adjacent curb or within thirty (30) feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, unless the (traffic authority) indicates a different length by signs or markings;
f. 
Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing, or parking would obstruct traffic;
g. 
Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel;
h. 
On any railroad tracks;
i. 
At any place where official signs prohibit stopping;
2. 
Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers:
a. 
In front of or within two (2) feet on either side of a public or private driveway, unless such driveway is the sole property of such person and no other person has a right of access to the area served by such driveway;
b. 
Within twenty (20) feet of a fire hydrant;
c. 
Within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk at an intersection;
d. 
Within thirty (30) feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign, or traffic control signal located at the side of a roadway;
e. 
Within twenty (20) feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station and on the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station within seventy-five (75) feet of said entrance (when properly signposted);
f. 
With twenty (20) feet of an intersection of two (2) streets;
g. 
Within five (5) feet of an intersection of a street and an alley or of a street or alley and an entrance to a public parking lot;
h. 
Within ten (10) feet of an intersection of a street having angular parking and an alley;
i. 
Any place where official signs prohibit standing;
3. 
Park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise or passengers:
a. 
Within twenty (20) feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing;
b. 
At any place where official signs prohibit parking.
B. 
No person shall move a vehicle not lawfully under his control into any such prohibited area or away from a curb such a distance as is unlawful.

No person shall park any vehicle upon a street, other than an alley, in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten (10) feet of the width of the roadway for free movement of vehicular traffic.

No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten (10) feet of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic, and no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle within an alley in such position as to block the driveway entrance to any abutting property.

No person shall park a vehicle upon a roadway for the principal purpose of repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency.

A. 
The City Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized to erect signs indicating no parking upon either or both sides of any street adjacent to any school property when such parking would, in his opinion, interfere with traffic or create a hazardous situation.
B. 
When official signs are erected indicating no parking upon either side of a street adjacent to any school property as authorized herein, no person shall park a vehicle in any such designated place.

A. 
The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect signs indicating no parking upon any street when the width of the roadway does not exceed twenty (20) feet, or upon one (1) side of a street as indicated by such signs when the width of the roadway does not exceed thirty (30) feet.
B. 
When official signs prohibiting parking are erected upon narrow streets as authorized herein, no person shall park a vehicle upon any such street in violation of any such sign.

The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect signs upon the left-hand side of any one- way street to prohibit the standing or parking of vehicles, and when such signs are in place, no person shall stand or park a vehicle upon such left-hand side in violation of any such sign.

In the event a highway includes two (2) or more separate roadways and traffic is restricted to one (1) direction upon any such roadway, no person shall stand or park a vehicle upon the left-hand side of such one-way roadway unless signs are erected to permit such standing or parking. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to determine when standing or parking may be permitted upon the left-hand side of any such one-way roadway and to erect signs giving notice thereof.

A. 
The City Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized to determine and designate by proper signs places not exceeding one hundred (100) feet in length in which the stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles would create an especially hazardous condition or would cause unusual delay to traffic.
B. 
When official signs are erected at hazardous or congested places as authorized herein, no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any such designated place.

All horse-drawn vehicles or motor vehicles parking in an area or on any public street or alley within the City of Hermann where parking lines appear on the street surface or on the curb shall park in accordance with the marked stalls and in no other way.

A. 
Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a Police Officer or official traffic control device, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within any portion of a handicapped parking place within the City of Hermann, unless
1. 
Such person is the operator of a vehicle which displays
a. 
A license plate inscribed with the international wheelchair accessibility symbol and the word "disabled", or
b. 
A lawfully issued removable windshield placard as described in and authorized by Section 301.142, RSMo, for a physically disabled person or temporarily disabled person; and
2. 
A physically disabled occupant is in the vehicle at the time of parking or a physically disabled person is being delivered or collected by a properly marked vehicle which is parked for the sole use of the physically disabled person.
B. 
For the purpose of this Section, a "handicapped parking place" shall be deemed to be any parking place for a motor vehicle within the City of Hermann which has been designated by order of the Traffic Engineer as reserved for the use of handicapped or physically disabled persons and which has been marked by the erection of a sign bearing the legend "Handicapped Parking Only" or the international wheelchair accessibility symbol.

A. 
No person shall park or stand a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to discharge a passenger or passengers, and no person shall fail to remove a vehicle under his control which has been parked, on any designated side or portion of a street, alley, or highway during any period in which the sweeping of such designated side or portion of a street, alley or highway is to occur according to the provisions of Schedule XIV of this Title.
B. 
The City Administrator or Street Superintendent shall give notice of the scheduled time for the cleaning of the streets, alleys or highways identified in said Schedule XIV by posting at the end of each block affected thereby a sign bearing the following legend: "NO PARKING/1:00 A.M. TO 7:00 A.M./[insert day of week]."
C. 
The Chief of Police, upon request from the Street Superintendent, may cause a vehicle to be removed from a street, alley or highway which is parked or allowed to remain in violation of this Section. Any vehicle so removed shall be impounded and may be reclaimed by the owner in the manner provided in Chapter 376 of this Code.

A. 
No person shall park in any street or alley in an area zoned residential in the City of Hermann ("residential area") any farm equipment, boat trailers, camping trailers, pickups with installed slide-in campers, trucks, recreational vehicles, utility trailers and similar vehicles ("prohibited vehicles").
B. 
Pickup trucks and light panel trucks having a length of less than twenty-five (25) feet and a width of less than seven and one-half (7.5) feet, excluding mirrors, shall be exempt from this Section.
C. 
The City Administrator or their designee may, in their sole discretion, issue temporary permits for parking prohibited vehicles in residential areas subject to time limitations and other terms and conditions as provided in such permit. Such permits may be issued either to the owner or lessee of the real property located within the residential area or to the owner of the vehicle.
1. 
The fee required to be paid for said permit shall be five dollars ($5.00).
2. 
It shall be unlawful for any permittee or other person to violate any of the special terms or conditions of any such permit.

A. 
No person shall park any vehicle upon Danuser Drive, John Bartel Drive and Industrial Drive without a permit. Permits may be issued by the City Administrator or their designee, which shall contain time limitations and such other terms and conditions as provided in such permit.
1. 
The fee required to be paid for said permit shall be five dollars ($5.00).
2. 
Permits shall be issued only to owners or lessees of lots within the Industrial Park, or to any other party upon receipt of written consent from any such owner or lessee.
3. 
It shall be unlawful for any permitee or other person to violate any of the special terms or conditions of any such permit.
