The following Codes, which are on file and available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk, have been adopted, with amendments, as the Building Codes of the City:
2015 Edition of the International Building Code
2015 Edition of the International Residential Code
2015 Edition of the International Plumbing Code
2015 Edition of the International Fire Code
2015 Edition of the International Mechanical Code
2015 Edition of the International Fuel Gas Code
2014 National Electric Code

Any person who violates any provision of the ordinance adopting the Codes provided above shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or shall be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate violation.

Prior to and as a condition of the issuance of any permit or certificate of inspection required by said Building Code, the fees set forth in Appendix A of this Chapter shall be charged to and paid by the applicant for such permit or inspection.

The "International Building Code, 2015 Edition," with all Appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; for providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupancy and use and for the demolition of such structures. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Building Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes as prescribed in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "International Residential Code, 2015 Edition," with all appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Residential Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of egress. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Residential Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "International Plumbing Code, 2015 Edition," with all appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the design and installation of plumbing systems, including the plumbing fixtures in all types of buildings except for detached one-and-two family dwellings and townhouses that are not more than three stories above grade in height. The International Plumbing Code addresses general plumbing restrictions, fixture requirements, water heater installations and systems for water distribution, sanitary drainage, special wastes, venting, storm drainage and gases. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Plumbing Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit C, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "International Fire Code, 2015 Edition," with all appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing minimum fire safety requirements for new and existing buildings, facilities, storage and processes. The International Fire Code addresses fire prevention, fire protection, life safety and safe storage and use of hazardous materials in new and existing buildings, facilities and processes. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fire Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit D, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "International Mechanical Code, 2015 Edition," with all appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the design and installation of mechanical systems, appliances, appliance venting, duct and ventilation systems, combustion air provisions, hydronic systems and solar systems. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Mechanical Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit E, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "International Fuel Gas Code, 2015 Edition," with all appendixes, as published by the International Code Council, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, shall be and is hereby adopted as the Fuel Gas Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the design and installation of fuel gas distribution piping and systems, appliances, appliance venting systems, combustion air provisions, gaseous hydrogen systems and motor vehicle gaseous-fuel-dispensing stations. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fuel Gas Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit F, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

The "2014 National Electric Code," with all appendixes, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann, be and is hereby adopted as the Electric Code of the City of Hermann for regulating and governing the installation of electrical conductors, equipment and raceways, optical fiber cables and raceways for public and private premises, including buildings, structures, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, floating buildings, yards, lots, parking lots, carnivals and industrial substations. The National Electric Code governs installations of conductors and equipment that connect to the supply of electricity and installations used by electric utilities. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Electric Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hermann are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Exhibit G, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
