This chapter shall be known and cited as the "House Trailers
and Recreational Vehicles Ordinance."
It is hereby declared illegal for any person, firm, corporation
or responsible party to place or maintain any nonmotorized house trailer,
camper, boat or trailer used to carry boats or similar equipment,
including utility trailers, upon the streets of the City of Shamokin
or to block the sidewalk with the same from November 1 of each year
through April 15 of each year in the City of Shamokin.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $300 and, in default
of payment, to imprisonment of a term not to exceed 30 days.
This chapter is not intended to regulate the parking of motorized
mobile homes, motorized motor homes or other similar motorized vehicles.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
If any sentence, clause, section or part of this chapter is
for any reason found to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid, such
unconstitutionality, illegality or invalidity shall not affect or
impair any of the remaining provisions, sentences, clauses, sections
or parts of this chapter. It is hereby declared as the intent of the
City of Shamokin that this chapter would have been adopted had such
unconstitutional, illegal or invalid sentence, clause, section or
part thereof not been included herein.
This chapter shall become effective on July 15, 1992.
