A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, being marked and designated as NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, 1988, as published by National Fire Protection Association, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the life safety code of the City for safety to life in buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said life safety code, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 5-1002 of this chapter.

There shall be inserted in the life safety code the following:
Fees for inspections under the life safety code shall be such fees as are currently established and as are from time to time established by the City council of the City.
