Hereafter, no public improvements shall be accepted for maintenance or for any other purpose by the City of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, until or unless they are constructed in accordance with these standards and have passed the tests set forth in the standard construction specifications.

No new streets, storm sewers, or other public improvements shall be accepted by the City of Tahlequah for purposes of ownership and maintenance if the contractor is required to furnish a good sufficient maintenance bond, or in the absence of bond requirement by City, the owner shall be responsible to execute a letter of completion and responsibility, or other approved device in favor of the City of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, which shall set forth the responsibilities of the developer, completion date of improvements, and term of responsibility of the developer. Provided that no maintenance bond, letter of completion and responsibility, or other approved device shall be required for sidewalks.
