It shall be a violation of this chapter for any person convicted of the commission of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child or an attempt to commit any of these enumerated offenses, to reside within 200 feet of the real property comprising an elementary or secondary school, playground, recreation center or park.

Any person charged with violating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1,000 and be subject to imprisonment for any term not exceeding 90 days or both.
