This chapter shall apply to the businesses of retail sale of live poultry, geese, other fowl, goats or other animals, and wholesale sale of live poultry, and to the bringing of live poultry into the City, as hereinafter provided.

The Health Officer, with approval of the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness, shall have power from time to time to make reasonable rules and regulations for the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. Such rules and regulations shall be enforceable in the same manner and to the same extent as the provisions of this chapter. A violation of such rules and regulations shall constitute a violation of this chapter.

a. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided in Section 13:1-5 of this Title.
b. 
Any such person shall also be liable to revocation of his/her permit or license which has been issued to him/her pursuant to this chapter.
c. 
Any person convicted of selling or offering for sale live poultry which has not been inspected, in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of this chapter shall, in addition to being subject to the penalties herein prescribed, be subjected to the quarantine for 72 hours of the business premises involved if the Health Officer deems it necessary, during which time the place of business of such person where such uninspected live poultry was kept shall be fumigated under the supervision of the Division of Health.
